Corporate Announcement

We are delighted and privileged to announce that Gail Klintworth has joined ThirdWay Africa a Senior Advisor.

Gail has a wealth of experience in corporate sustainability and best practices for sustainable impact projects gained across diverse markets in FMCG and Financial Services firms, Foundations and NGOs. Her former roles include Group Chief Sustainability Officer for Unilever and Chairman & CEO of Unilever South Africa, in addition to Group Customer and Responsible Business Director of Old Mutual PLC and Director of Business Transformation at the Business and Sustainable Development Commission.

Gail currently holds a number of other board advisory and Non-Executive Director roles such as Chair of the Shell Foundation, Integrity Action and GlobeScan in addition to her role as Special Advisor at SYSTEMIQ, an advisory firm specialising in driving positive change in energy, materials and the circular economy, impacting both land and ocean use. Lastly, but importantly, Gail has recently co-founded SPD with our friend Robbie Marwick, focused on identifying, building and selling pioneer sustainable businesses and projects, their initial projects being a set of private sustainable special economic zones in Nigeria, Kenya and Ethiopia.

We look forward to working with Gail, as she supports us with further building our Senior Advisory Board as well as engaging in some of the great work we are doing with our partners and clients.
